Kabibe Shell? What is that?

Kabibe?  What is it you ask?  Well, the first time I saw the word myself I had no idea what it meant or even was.  So what do we naturally do when we're curious about something?  "Google it!" right?

So this is what I found out thru one of my results reference.com: kabibe shell references an animal shell or sea shell.   In Tagalog dictionary it means: scallop; shell

The word Kabibe is also a name of a place: Mahiwagang Kabibe  (Magical Clam) which is a location for one Filipino comic book character.  

And lastly, it is also a name whose origin is from Africa which means:  Little Lady

New Ear Adornments for this Spring!

Just got back from a two week vacation ... well not really time off from work--very much needed since I can't recall a day that I actually didn't think about my job! 

Anyways, I spent the past 2 nights relaxing and beading...my coffee table and couch was my hobby shop...while watching Ghost Adventurers...

Button Jewlery

Last spring I decided to help a friend out with her scrap booking direct sales company, I'm not really a "scrapbooker" but none the less, I wanted to help her with a sale for the month, so after searching through the catalog I saw a box of buttons....they came in a cute little box full of buttons of corresponding colors, sizes and texture.  And from what I had on hand these are what I created from the little box:

Nature by Design

Hey there...well after housecleaning, washing the car, and weeks of trying to find time to sit and do NOTHING; today I was able to create some items that I wanted to share.

As the temps began to warm up I started to think of fruitful leaves and created this necklace:

The Leaflet Necklace

I used a brown twisted cord and found a multi-faceted purple biscone bead to accommodate this metal leaf pendant.

Next, I  created this piece: 

Spring Tweets Necklace

This silver pendant designed with birds balances the thought of spring and is adorned with a mother of pearl bead hanging from a ball chain style silver chain and an easy to close silver lobster claw clasp.

And with Saint Patrick Day slowly approaching I created this dainty earrings:

Budding Moss Pearl Drops

I used two sizes of fresh water pearl moss beads, gray roundels and topped it off with silver beads on silver kidney-shaped earring hooks.

New Moon + New Year = New Beginnings!

Well friends, I am looking forward to spring and hopefully new and exciting things to transpire in the meantime.  For that I wanted to share a couple of my creations with you:

Those who are fans of Pandora style jewelry, I found some Murano glass beads online and silver flower printed spacers at Micheals Craft store and assembled "Yellow Garden".

I immediately thought of Spring with the bright yellow colors and swirls of pink flowers.

Then I thought of the upcoming Cherry Blossoms up in DC...here I found cherry colored oval beads and accented with clear & pink biscone 1mm beads and voila!  "Cherry Blossom Earrings".

Also sold separately is the "Cherry Blossom Bracelet".
